Not sure what change I'd recommend but the number of times I've accidentally dropped my bag due to a confluence of shifting focus and a trigger-happy "1" mashing is pretty high. Simple enough to pick up my bag again so consider this a P2 nice-to-have ;)

I know exactly what you mean. That's why I usually keep slot one empty - it has the added benefit of letting me know immediately when something enters my inventory in an unexpected place. It does mean one less bag, though.
