Nothing comes into my inventory when i mine/harvest

 I can mine but the rock never comes into my inventory.
My pickaxe also has high durability and loses it once i mine, nothing ever comes into my inventory. Same with harvesting trees, not a thing comes in my inventory as well. Please help

I found that if you have a broken tool it still allow you to perform the harvest, but results in giving you nothing but also no nofiticaiton.
