I have level 2 tinkering and it's a little slow to raise. The encyclopedia sadly does not list it under skills. I'm not sure what the highest level is. I know when I reached level 1, I was able to fix a lot more different tools, and also make newbie packs. Level 2 does not seem to have added any e.g. I own an Awesome Pot and saucepan, but neither is an option for tinkering with. Lots of the tools it does have are the kind that doesn't wear, and doesn't need fixing. I suppose they could be upgrades, but those haven't been implemented, right?

What level tinkering are you, and what benefits has it given you?

I am lvl 5 and yes takes a bit  to level up but each lvl should give you more tools to repair at first lvls and then at lvl 4  you can start to craft your own

here is the tree skill

I found that at level 2 (where I am now) repairing the gassifier ups my status 2%, whereas everything else I've tried gives 1%. This seems particularly quixotic since the gassifier doesn't wear with use! As I recall, even repairing the tongs, which required a moly ingot only gave me a 1% increase.
