Just joined a few days ago and cannot find much in the way of help in the forums - looks like the most recent member post is from March and admin post September.

In game I do not see any other players, live help no response and aside from sourcing materials and selling them, I don't see what else to do in this game - There is no one here.

Anyone playing?  Where can I get items other than tools - How about clothing, my character is naked, lol :D

Help!

Hello there!

Yes, the game is very much relevant. We are building the game from scratch with just Glitch's art to go off of, so it will take time to build all of the features in. Currently, you can collect/buy/sell materials, explore the world, and chat with other players, but more will come soon.

As far as the live help channel goes, we do not have any staff (this is a small remake project) to handle live help directly, but other players may join the channel to help new players.

You can get items other than tools by harvesting, mining, digging, etc. with tools. Your avatar images are pulled from Glitch's server if we can find your username, and are set to a default image if we can't find one. We will eventually have our own avatar system that you can customize.

Players join sporadically, so you may find the game busy at some times and empty at others (our current playerbase is small, but we hope it will grow eventually!)

You can watch our development progress on our social accounts (click your username at the top of the forums for links) and our blog, to find out when new features are released, we have something to tell you, or we need your help.

Let me know if you have any more questions (or want to talk about the game),

I'm glad to see you guys are still at work on this! Everything looks beautiful, can't wait to see things get more complete!

Edit: wait, I noticed you guys are referring to this as a remake...my understanding was the underlying coding and everything was released too? Or at least some of it? Are you guys not using that and starting over from scratch and just using the artwork?

Hey Merlin, Developer Paul here,

We did start from scratch (except for using the art and street data). We had to because Tiny Speck hadn't released the source code yet when this project began. Also, now that the source is released, we can't use most of it. This is because Glitch was written in Flash/Javascript, and CoU is written in Dart.

We definitely comb through the Glitch code looking for stuff, but even that is just for inspiration.

Thanks!
