So, I'm having a blast, bouncing around, collecting quoins, teleporting to neighborhoods and starting to remember my way around.

Is there anything we, as players, can do to help?

I know that just having players in the game is helpful, we're putting a little stress on the servers so that things that are broken break faster and can be fixed. But is there any way we can actively contribute? Reporting areas with obvious bugs (there's a spot in Ilmenskie where rocks just float and there are no visible paths) or seeking out symptoms of whatever is being worked on this week?  Heh, the developers could even set up weekly quests or challenges: find the areas where the visible roads don't match the invisible paths!  Having some purpose to what we're doing would make it more fun for us, and could be very useful to the development of the game.

Both of these ideas are great! However, we do not have any way to handle quests yet (it's on the to-do list somewhere) and right now we're working on bringing back some more basic game functionality before we get to the quality control issues (which is the best place to report missing platforms/assets/etc., either by replying to a related issue or starting a new one if it is a different problem.)

If you want to help out, our current goal for the community is getting everything from the Glitch encyclopedia to our new wiki. You can do so by creating the needed pages, see the editing help page for more details. Don't feel required to do it, but if you want to help some other players out, it might be a fun thing to do. (If you remember the Glitch Strategy Wiki that closed, I think it might be nice to have a hybrid between that content and the "official" Glitch encyclopedia.)

Thank you for your interest in the project, and for playing our game!

Let me know if you have any more suggestions or questions,
Klikini

I'll have to try out editing the wiki; that actually is a place I think I could be useful!

Just to note; I didn't mean actual game-advancing quests, I just meant some kind of announcement here (or wherever) that *this* is what we're working on this week, and *this* is the kind of bug we'd especially like to have reported.

That's completely doable, and we may look into that between participation projects. (Wiki, phrase suggestions, etc.)

Have fun with the wiki, and thanks for the help!

I'm new to this - didn't play old Glitch - but it looks fascinating.  I logged in to try the game but I can't move.  The keyboard on my gaming laptop won't talk to the game.  If I try to type something, the letters just appear in a line at the bottom.  How do I tell my keyboard to play nice?  Thanks for any help!

There is not an official way to report it other than contacting us. However, I have replaced the question-based CAPTCHA system with ReCAPTCHA, which should be harder to crack for spammers, so this won't happen again. I hope :)
