How are musicblocks supposed to work? So far, the only thing I've found to do with them is to play them for a crab. Is there a way to listen to them? Is there more functionality that hasn't been implemented yet? Just curious.

Sorry to say that you can't hear the music for yourself yet. That's mostly an issue of us not having the rights to the music so we can't include it just yet. So collecting the music boxes and playing them for the crab to get headphones or crabato juice is all that's available right now.
